Congresswoman Haley Stevens

Congresswoman Haley Stevens stopped by Oakland Community College Friday morning to support NCATC and Oakland Community College's Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Workforce Development initiatives.

Welcome to Oakland Community College!

On behalf of the board, faculty, staff, and students

of Oakland Community College (OCC), we are

thrilled to host the 2019 NCATC Summer

At OCC we are committed to empowering our

students to succeed and advance our community.

With five campuses across Oakland County, we have

a community-driven commitment to doing excellent work, raising

excellent families, and building an excellent future for our diverse and

amazing region.

The power of OCC is the power to move minds and change

..…to turn potential into professional.

..…to start a new family tradition of higher education.

..…to dream bigger, and achieve more.

Our students earn their associate degrees at the lowest tuition

rate in Michigan. With nearly 300 transfer agreements with four-year

institutions across the state, OCC has the highest percentage of

college transfers in Michigan.

OCC sits in the middle of the largest technology center in the

country—greater than Silicon Valley. FANUC, the world’s largest

industrial robot manufacturer and leader in smart manufacturing

technologies, is located in the heart of this region. OCC is proud to

partner with FANUC in our Advanced Technology Center.

The continued success of our economy relies on OCC’s ability to train

workers. Our students can fast-track their careers by pursuing nearly

100 certificate or degree programs with little or no debt and

begin working in as few as 12–24 months.

Consider these highlights. OCC ...

  • Offers the state’s only nationally and internationally accredited fire academy programs.
  • Is home to one of the Michigan’s largest nursing associate degree programs.
  • Launched a Global Literacy Endorsement for students to compete in a connected world.
  • Features one of the largest English as a Second Language programs in the area.
  • Has one of only four MOPAR career automotive programs in Michigan.
  • Hosts HURCO’s first regional salesroom, providing state-of-the-art equipment and training for students and faculty.

We are OCC. Excellence Empowered.

Best Regards,

Peter Provenzano, Jr., Chancellor
